About us
Our Vision & Mission
“That they all may be one.” — John 17:21
Our vision
One family in Christ
To be a worshipping, welcoming and united family in Christ in Sulur — a house of prayer for all people, where every generation grows in faith and every member is a minister.
Our mission
Worship, grow, serve, witness
To glorify God in worship; to grow as disciples through Word and Sacrament; to care for one another and our neighbours; and to share the good news of Jesus Christ in word and deed.
How we live it
Four commitments
What the vision looks like in the weekly life of the congregation.
Worship
We gather every Sunday around Scripture, prayer, praise and the Lord’s Table.
Grow
We nurture faith in every age through Sunday School, Bible study and fellowship.
Serve
We care for the sick, the bereaved and families in need, within and beyond the church.
Witness
We share the love of Christ in Sulur and support the mission of the diocese.
With the whole church
Unity, peace and reconciliation
We share the calling of the Church of South India: to be a united church that carries on the mission of Jesus Christ, stands alongside those who suffer, and works for unity, peace and reconciliation in our land.
