The Christian year
Keeping time with the Church
From Advent to Pentecost, the church year tells the story of Jesus Christ: his coming, his life, his death and resurrection, and the gift of the Holy Spirit. The rest of the year is given to the life of the church in the world, with a theme for every Sunday.
